Open An Account

Easy Steps to Become a Member:

Step 1: Open your MCU account online or schedule an appointment with an MCU representative. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 831 647 1000 Monday- Friday 9:30 am- 5:30 pm, closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Step 2: To open an MCU account, you will need the following documents:

Social security numbers for all account holders
Driver's license, Passport or other unexpired Government issued ID for all account holders
A type of payment to fund the account
Address verification if you are new to the area or if the address on your ID is not current.

Step 3: Membership eligibility requirements:

Anyone who lives or works in the counties of Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, or San Luis Obispo is eligible for membership. Members who subsequently move out of the area after establishing and keeping membership active do not lose their Credit Union Standing- you can be a member for life!
