A Mobile Wallet is a way to carry your debit and credit card information in a digital form on your mobile device. Instead of using your physical, plastic card to make purchases, you can pay with your smartphone, tablet, or smartwatch. When using one of the mobile wallet methods, your actual card number is never shared with the merchant neither is it stored on your mobile device. Instead, a Device Account Number is used to process your payment – known as "tokenization. Thus, helping to protect your personal identification and card data.
