IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT AN ONGOING SCAM - July 2025

We have recently heard from members that they have received text messages from "MontereyCU Fraud Ctr" regarding an email address being added to their MCU account.

  • If you receive such a text, DO NOT RESPOND. 
  • If you have already responded to this text message, please contact Member Services at 831.647.1000.
  • For your peace of mind, login to your MCU Internet Banking as soon as possible to review your account.  If you find any changes that you did not make, please contact Member Services.

Important

  • MontereyCU will never ask for your CheckCard Number, CheckCard Pin, CV2 Security code or Internet Banking Username/Password. 
  • NEVER give this information to anyone claiming to be from Monterey Credit Union! 
  • If you receive a call or text from 831.647.1000 indicating fraud on your account, do not give the caller any information, hang up and report the call to us.
